Medical Support

All pupils with a medical need will be identified at the start of the year, a document will be sent out to parents/ carers asking for home to declare if their child has a medical need that needs enhanced support or to be monitored in school.

Once this document is returned, a care plan will be created in consultation with home and health care professionals involved. It is the responsibilities of parents/carers to update school with any new medical information to ensure individual health care plans are updated.

School staff also receive regular training to support pupils with medical conditions and work with specialist colleagues when needed to ensure that pupil’s medical needs are supported effectively.
