Personal Development
At Staindrop Academy we believe that character education is key, with the ethos that ‘Everyone’s a Wonder’. We aim throughout our character development programme, which incorporates the 7 key character traits shown below, to develop our students as well-rounded young people who are ready for the world of work in the 21st century. Staindrop Academy’s Wonder Program also incorporates the protected characteristics, PSHE, SMSC, British Values and our own bespoke character development for Staindrop students throughout. Our programme involves events such as Character Friday where students have the opportunity to discuss character traits relating to a range of real life subjects, as well as our Wonder Hour and Wonder Day here students experience a wide range of topics covered within the PSHE programme (such as careers and RSE).
