Update
Good Morning
We hope that everyone is safe and well and that the students have logged onto their remote learning. Following the governments announcements the school will undertake remote learning until further notice. We will provide regular communication with the students and ensuring that they are progressing with their learning, alongside their well-being. At Staindrop we are committed to continuing a high quality provision of education during the current Covid-19. Staff are working hard to provide a comprehensive academic and personal development curriculum. The systems and structures are in place for remote learning and please contact the school if there are any questions or if we can support in any way. A reminder that the school is open for key workers should you require this provision. The school is here for you and your child during this period and we continue to provide a high level of education. Please continue to check SchoolComms and the website for further information throughout.
School Contact Times:
If you would like to contact the school please ring between 8.30am – 3.30pm.
Year 11 Parents
Following the governments announcement that this years GCSE exams have been cancelled their will be understandable uncertainty amongst you as parents and the students. We are awaiting to hear further information about what alternative assessments will be agreed with the exam regulator Ofqual. We will continue to communicate when we receive information. In the meantime, we will work hard to support your child and engagement in their studies and lessons is pivotal to support the alternative assessments that are put in place and also to develop skills for their future (i.e. A-level, work-based studies, university etc). Miss Read will be communicating with the students and further events and information will be provided.
Continue to keep safe and if there are any questions and support please do not hesitate to get in touch.
Best Wishes
K. Simpson and P. Cowen
