Safeguarding
At Staindrop Academy, our commitment to the holistic development of our students extends beyond academic achievement to encompass their safety, well-being, and emotional health. The bedrock of this commitment lies in a comprehensive student safeguarding program that integrates specialist support, proactive monitoring, and collaborative efforts with external agencies.
In light of the growing risks that the online world poses to our children, Staindrop Academy is committed to fostering a safe digital environment. To achieve this, we believe it is crucial for schools, parents, and carers to collaborate in educating children about online dangers.
Staindrop Academy is partnered with National Online Safety to provide valuable resources for all parents and carers. These resources include informative courses presented by Myleene Klass, online video resources, and weekly guides covering a wide range of topics such as online relationships, cyberbullying, online grooming, and much more.
To access these resources, we encourage you to create an account by visiting https://nationalonlinesafety.com/enrol/staindrop-academy and completing your details. Once registered, please set your user type as ‘Parent/Carer.’ The National Online Safety platform is accessible from any device, including smartphones. You can find the smartphone app on the iPhone App Store by searching for “National Online Safety” and on Android by searching for the “National Education Group App.”
Should you have any questions about these resources or safeguarding in general, please feel free to contact Mr. Marwood, the Designated Safeguarding Leader.
Let’s work together to ensure the safety of our children in the ever-evolving digital landscape.
